My Review:

Gosh, I have always loved witches and spells in fiction and historical fiction. From Samantha in Bewitched, Bibi Blocksberg, Sabrina, the book Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman. Helen’s writing transports me away and takes my imagination to places where good magic is life.

Book two, after reading Book 1, it had to follow. Back with the English girls in Salem dipping between the 1600s and present day. The Book of Unwritten Stories delivers! Meeting new and old faces. The creepy mysterious book of unfinished spells takes centre stage. Even when returned it finds its way back, bursting for its spells to be told to the detriment of the caster.  Can and should anyone finish the spells, if they do, will dark override light? Can the sisters restore Salem’s its light and save its inhabitants?

What of Clara’s obsession with the hidden bookstore?

Helen’s writing drew me in and wouldn’t let me go until the last page! 5 Magical Stars.
