My Review:

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this story!!!

I immediately fell in love with the title, add that the book is written by Donna Ashcroft and it instantly became a Must Read.

Being somewhat of a pantser and rather late in the day… the read was an absolute treat. Something you can imagine becoming a Halloween Hallmark Hit!

The Candy Apple Cafe is told from two perspectives, Izzi and Cameron’s.

Izzi follows a letter she found in her aunts belongings to the cosy village of Honey Haven to maybe find a relative she had never heard of.

Cameron a handsome closed off guy whose grandma Maude owns the Candy Apple Café struggles to warm to her. Especially as his grandma decided to let her stay in his cabin with no references in sight.

The villagers are a lovely bunch of mixed ages.

The food Issi puts together along with her exceptional baking skills make her an instant hit.

Due to a cancelled trip to New Orleans,

Maude’s love of Halloween has the villagers come together for something beautiful.

The book is paced well and endearing from the start.

The cute dog called Cupcake adds to the charm.

Donna is another beautiful writer in my go to pool of Romance must read authors of a similar genre such as Heidi Swain, Margaret Amatt, Julie Caplin, Lisa Hobman, Jaimie Admans etc.
