Books, life, inspiration…. and my PMDD

Best Foot Forward 2024

Day 1 of 2024

A quiet and relaxing day, getting into more planned out easy to follow morning routine.

Filling in my blogtour dates that I have committed to with two publishers. A lot lighter and more fun schedule to follow. Less stress. Feels good.

I am also doing the Vex King – The greatest manifestation book is the one written by you. Small bite size exercises to work through, to keep the mind healthy and positive. No time pressure.

My mum called, she is 81. We had a long conversation, or more she had the conversation and I listened and pipped up when appropriate.

Some lovely messages from so many lovely people out there bringing in the new year. Hope and knowing you don’t have to take too much action, the main actions are be happy and healthy.

Over on the PMDD Support group, a lot of new people joined, some hard to read cries for help and someone criticising us for not allowing people to post about wanting to commit suicide. Well, blow me over with a feather, apparently it grinded one of the people’s gears so much, she had to vocalise it.

Nice, my mods and I spend our days offering a safe place and do a lot of things behind the scenes, and we are certainly not trained, unfounded critique and judgement is hurtful and harmful. It could mean someone out there doesn’t reach out and we can’t reach out to them or contact Facebook or set up a welfare check where possible. Imagine the trauma that a post that states someones intentions and struggles could cause in an almost 40.000 strong place of refuge and help? It didn’t work well at 1000 so I’d say it won’t work at a much higher level.

Away from that, I caught up with Coronation Street, Eastenders and Emmerdale, read some of the book I am blogging for, spent some nice quality time with my lovely son and had chips for lunch. They were yum. I then opted for a nap. Key when living with chronic conditions is to listen to your body. My body often says it’s beyond exhausted. I am going to see how I can combat that in a healthy and sustainable way.

Well, that was day 1 of 2024. I think it went pretty well.

Much Love,

Fiona
