My Review: This is a very hard hitting and raw story, set during the War, Nazi Germany was terrorising the world, including the Czechs. There was a demand for their children due to their blonde hair and blue eyes. Greta Strohm had just received her adopted son. So many raw emotions, there is no end to a mothers love and no lengh she wont go to to save her children. So much, fear, trauma and loss is spread across these pages. Who can you trust? A gripping page turner.

‘An intensely moving, brilliantly researched novel about love, loss, and the lengths a mother will go to for her child…utterly compelling‘ Deborah Carr
Rumours of the Nazis coming for Czech children swept through the villages like a breeze through the trees, and the story was always the same…
They wanted our children to raise as their own

But getting close to Ema is one thing. Convincing her that the Germans are lying when they claim Anna stole her from her true parents is another…
