What an absolutely fantastic opportunity to be writing a review for Ms Swains Blog Tour. Not only is she one of my most favourite authors, but also someone very dear to me.
It was so good to be back in Nightingale Square with all the gorgeous residents and that super special community garden.
We follow Beth on her journey as a carer in an old people’s home and the love the residents have for her and her move into the Square with Aretha her beloved cheese plant. My mum had a giant cheese plant, she used to feed it with rice water. My memories were stirred of a long forgotten plant.
We also encounter music, tiktok, coffee shops, love, friendship and a triple helping of community spirit.
Heidi has such a way of bringing different threads together, filling the pages with love, care and inspiration to improve your mental health and nurture friendships and nature. Music is also a very important part of the story. I have a song for all moods and moments. Thanks for the reminder of sweet love and romance.
I fully recommend this summer read to anyone who just wants to be swept away in the moment.
