The story centres around Ivy who has just lost her mother and is grieving heavily, trying to rebuild her life after loss. Alex is by her side as much as she will let him. Her trust issues stem from being deserted by her father at a young age. Mermaids Point is a very close knit community with friendships that are deep, loving and supportive. When you have walls around you, can love help knock them down? Sometimes you have to delve deep into yourself and let go of the things that hold us back. trust is one of those things that is hard to rediscover once shattered. An enjoyable read, that will touch your heart and make you want to live at Mermaids Point.
