1. Do you have a place at home or Outside that you call your sanctuary?

I love my garden. It’s not a particularly big or special garden, but I love being able to get outside and plant things. And I absolutely love feeding the garden birds. I can stand in my kitchen and watch the feeders outside for hours and never get tired of it! I find it so relaxing and soothing to stand in the kitchen with a cup of tea and watch the birds coming and going! This year, the seed they’ve dropped has grown into two of the most beautiful sunflowers – one yellow one about 6ft tall, and one red one that’s about 8ft tall! Typically, the sunflowers I actually tried to grow myself failed miserably, but the birds dropping their seed has worked a treat!

2. Who would you cast for the leading role in the story of your life and why?
I can honestly say I’ve never thought about this one before! I’ll go with Zooey Deschanel just because she’s quirky and a bit kooky, and I think I am too!

3. Which song do you go for when you need a boost?

I love musicals and you can’t beat a good, belty show tune! Anything from Les Mis or Rent is an absolute winner for me, but for an unbeatable cheer-up song, it’s got to be ‘Oh, What a Beautiful Morning’ hasn’t it? The man who sings this has got such a beautiful voice (and he’s the lead in Carousel too, which is one of my favourite musicals!) and if I’m feeling down, I like the reminder that there are still things to be thankful for!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5APc0z49wg

4. If you weren’t an author what other pleasant pass time would you want to be employed in?

This is my absolute dream job! I can’t imagine doing anything else now! Before writing, I worked in retail and used to stand at the till, staring at the empty shop and dream of getting to write for a living, so I honestly wouldn’t want to be employed as anything else!

5. How mystical / spiritual are you?

Probably not as much as I wish I was. I love the things you share https://www.facebook.com/FionasAngelWisdom/ , Fiona, I really connect to so many of them, and I’ve always been a big believer in the universe – as in, I believe everything happens for a reason even if we can’t see it at the time. I think things fall into place when they’re meant to, and I hugely trust gut instincts and good vibes or bad feelings about something.
