Books, life, inspiration…. and my PMDD

My Review for Laura Sweeney’s New Release – My Mother’s Photograph for #bookourtures #booksontour

My Review:

A beautiful written story of love, sacrifice, safety, estrangement and loss. Told from two perspectives. This dual timeline does make you think and question things.
In more current times, we follow Sarah who has returned home to scatter her late father’s ashes.
Home, a place she hadnt been in 10 years, leaving shards of her life behind and having to face things on her return.
Pebble Cottage centres around her and 1940s Rose. Someone who was in care and married a kind man far too soon.
Troubled by war and wondering if she married the right man, she finds herself left alone due to the demands of war.
Dovecote is such a calming place. Its an engaging book, recommended. To find our more, you will need to read the book.
