My Review: I enjoyed reading this easy to follow and well written story. It’s told from the perspectives of Charlie and Portia. Having moved to London from Jersey to be with his love, Charlie struggles to settle in, this doesn’t go unnoticed and soon Portia is upping sticks to live a slower paced life in Jersey with the love of her life. They start a major renovation project on the Chateau that Charlie has inherited. Of course they don’t do this alone, their friends Oliver and Lexi, Sacha and Remi, Bella etc are all on hand to offer advice and friendship. I had to giggle at the Chilblains reference, my mum used to say that too.
