My Review: Another fabulous read from the awesome Shari, I really am a massive fan of her books and always look forward to the next one, and finish a current one with great sadness that I have to wait again. There are three perspectives from which this book is told, each on Christmas. Eve’s is set in 2023, her mum Helena’s is set in 1993 and her grandmother is set in 1968. I won’t spoil too much, but as ever there are family secrets that change everyone’s world. The dynamics between the women isn’t straight forward and slightly strained. Well, Shari also manages to bring in the music and the humour, as well at the way of living from each year. The other characters are also fun, interesting and damaged in just the right places. It’s a lot, but it works. Recommended. PS: I also have the Audible version on my phone to listen to, the narrator is lovely.
